Are estimates free?
Yes. We'll come out, measure, and talk through the project. You'll get a detailed estimate itemized by room and trade.
What does your estimate include?
The whole job, organized into sections such as demolition, waterproofing, tile, plumbing, electrical, finishes and cleanup. Each section has one price and lists the labor included, the materials included and what's not included. You can adjust the scope section by section and approve it online when you're ready.
What is the client portal?
A private online page for your project that you can open from your phone or computer. It shows the schedule, progress photos, documents and invoices, and it's where you approve change orders, message us and pay invoices online. Every payment is logged there automatically, so you always have your full project record. Every client gets one.
Are you licensed, bonded and insured?
Yes. We're a registered New Jersey home improvement contractor (#13VH06205100), we're bonded, and we carry the insurance most condo buildings require. We issue certificates of insurance naming your building and management company.
Do you handle permits?
Yes. We file permits with your town's construction code office, schedule inspections, and meet the inspector. Permit costs are listed in your proposal.
Can you handle my building's approval process?
Yes. We prepare the alteration agreement details, scope and schedule your board asks for, provide the insurance certificate, and coordinate elevator and work-hour rules with management.
Who supplies the materials?
You choose and purchase the finishes you'll see — tile, cabinets, countertops, fixtures, vanities and lighting. We supply all installation materials: drywall, cement board, waterproofing, setting materials, trim, primer and paint. We'll tell you exactly what to order and how much.
Do you use subcontractors?
Our own crew handles demolition, carpentry, drywall, waterproofing, tile, trim and paint. Plumbing and electrical are done by licensed tradespeople we work with regularly.
How long does a bathroom or kitchen take?
A full bathroom is typically about five weeks on site and a condo kitchen about six to eight weeks, once approvals and permits are in place and materials are on hand. Your proposal includes a schedule.
Can I live at home during the renovation?
Usually, for a single kitchen or bathroom. We seal off the work area, protect floors and clean up daily. For larger renovations we'll plan phases with you.
Will you work with my architect or designer?
Yes, regularly. We build from architects' drawings and coordinate with designers and cabinet showrooms on measurements, deliveries and details.
I need help choosing finishes. Can you help?
Yes. We work with local interior designers, architects and suppliers who can help you pick tile, cabinets, countertops, fixtures and lighting. Tell us at the walkthrough and we'll make the introduction. You're also welcome to bring your own designer.
What forms of payment do you accept?
You can pay invoices by ACH bank transfer, right from the invoice in your client portal, and every payment is logged there automatically. We also accept cash. Payments follow milestones set out in your proposal.
What areas do you serve?
Hoboken, Jersey City, Weehawken, Union City, West New York, North Bergen and nearby Hudson County towns.
